ISO 8362-1:2009 specifies the form, dimensions and capacities of glass vials for injectable preparations. It also specifies the material from which such containers shall be made and the performance requirements of those containers.
Compatible with a broad variety of autosamplers, these Thermo Scientific 8mm Clear Glass Screw Thread Vials have a 8-425 thread finish. While maintaining the standard outer dimensions the internal volumes of these vials range from below 300L to 2mL.
They are also available with solid screw caps and rubber/PTFE septa for use as collecting vials or for sample storage. Qualyvials 8 are 8 ml volume sample vials made with amber borosilicate glass with 15 mm screw thread, for automatic sampling or sample storage.

You pick from our clear glass vial collection, all with gasketed black-plastic screw caps. The small vials hold approx 2ml and measure 1-3/8” tall x 9/16” dia with a 9/32 (approx 7mm) ID. The larger vials hold approx 5ml and measure 2-1/4” tall x 19/32” dia with an 11/32” (7mm) ID.
The 2 dram vials are the same as the twelve pack. They made of glass and the cap twists on securely. I purchased them to be used for insect specimens, and so far they are working great. The glass is a bit thin, so if you expect your vials to undergo extreme stress, I wouldn't get these.
